EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
"FIRST RESPONDERS"

Our department is proud to be the first department in all of Atascosa County to add an EMS First Responders Program as part of its duties.  The department started its program with 1 EMT-B and 1 ECA.  As the program continued to grow, more equipment was added, along with better technology.  The department now has equipment to treat the most minor emergencies, all the way up to full cardiac arrest.  A majority of the First Response calls are for traffic accidents and oil field related injuries.  The department's First Response program is proud to have developed a distinguished working relationship with all the law enforcement, EMS and other fire departments in the county.  We strive for excellence.
