Firehouse Gear

EQUIPMENT

The Paisano Volunteer Fire Department is a small volunteer department that has basic fire suppression capabilities.  Currently the department has total of 4 department vehicles.  The department has 2-300 gallon brush trucks and 1 - 400 gallon brush truck to use for fire fighting and traffic control at accident scenes.

The department also has 1 - First Response/Command vehicle that is used by the Chief for EMS response purposes.  Our EMS First Response unit carries basic supplies for bandaging and bleeding control, the ability to treat minor burns and insect stings, heat and cold related injuries, and diabetic emergencies, along with other emergencies.  It also carries on-board supplies of oxygen, BVM's and an AED that is capable of treating cardiac arrests in the field.

At this time, we are looking for additional members to be able to add to our list of equipment.

UPDATE:  APRIL 5, 2022

The department has recently added complete sets of wildland firefighting gear for each firefighter.  This includes the wildland helmet, goggles, face protector, jacket, pants, boots,, and equipment bag.

The department is in the process of pricing new SCBA and HURST extrication tool equipment as well.  We hope to have these in the very near future.

A long term goal the department is working towards is the replacement of the Chief's command vehicle with a newer model.  The current vehicle is up for sale with a starting price of $12,000.  If anyone is interested, please contact the chief for more information.
